Position: Lead Desktop Support Specialist

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Lead Desktop Support Specialist to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys solving problems, improving end-user support, and helping shape how desktop services operate. In this role, you’ll support day-to-day technical needs while also contributing to process improvements, device management, and long-term team success. The position is expected to grow into a leadership role, making this a great fit for someone who brings both technical depth and strong interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Provide desktop support for users across all levels of the organization
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and application issues
• Support new hires, employee moves, and terminations
• Manage printer support, toner replacement, and service requests
• Assist with IT inventory tracking and periodic audits
• Support projects that improve desktop operations and service delivery
• Deliver responsive support both remotely and onsite
• Follow escalation paths and maintain awareness of service level expectations

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• At least 4 years of professional IT experience in a corporate environment
• Strong experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11
• Familiarity with Android, iOS, and printer support
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities
• Professional approach to teamwork and customer service

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience building and maintaining printer fleets
• Exposure to phone system administration or support
• Intune device and application policy experience
• Inventory tracking process improvement experience
• Relevant IT certifications
• Additional education in a related field
• Experience in a leadership-track support role

Other Information:

• Role includes occasional local travel to support nearby sites
• Work environment is primarily office-based with some warehouse exposure
• Physical work may involve sitting, standing, and lifting up to 25 lbs

• Position supports a Windows-heavy environment with limited Linux exposure
• Ideal for someone who wants to grow into a leadership position
