Position: Field Service Technician

Compensation: $105,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Field Service Technician to join their team!

Join a leading electrical supply company that’s expanding its service support division. This exciting opportunity allows you to work on complex electrical power distribution systems, enhancing your skills while supporting the growth of a new subsidiary. With a focus on commercial businesses, hospitals, and schools, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and expertise.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Perform startup, commissioning, and testing of electrical power systems
• Conduct electrical testing, including insulation and contact resistance
• Read and interpret one-line diagrams and schematics
• Diagnose and resolve system issues independently
• Collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams
• Assist during system energization and commissioning activities
• Prepare complete and accurate field service reports
• Maintain adherence to safety standards and requirements
• Travel to customer sites within the Houston area

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 3–7 years of experience in field service, commissioning, or electrical testing
• Knowledge of medium and low voltage power distribution systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve standard electrical issues
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to travel as required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with NETA standards
• NETA Certification (Level I or II)
• Experience with protective relays and control systems
• OEM training (Siemens, Eaton, Schneider, ABB)
• Journeyman Electrician license
