Position: DevOps Applications Engineer

Compensation: $90,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled DevOps Applications Engineer to join their team!

An energy sector company is seeking a DevOps Applications Engineer to support and improve its enterprise platforms. This role will focus on building reliable systems, automating cloud and platform operations, and partnering with technical teams to deliver scalable solutions. It is a strong opportunity for someone passionate about automation, reliability, and modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Partner with application and engineering teams to design reliable, scalable, and secure systems
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines across cloud and SaaS platforms using modern tools
• Design and implement infrastructure automation using infrastructure-as-code practices
• Develop observability solutions using tools like Splunk for monitoring and alerting
• Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis efforts
• Support enterprise platforms including Salesforce, MuleSoft, Azure, and Informatica
• Eliminate manual operational processes through scripting and automation initiatives
• Contribute to capacity planning, cost optimization, and system scalability projects
• Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies to improve platform reliability

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of related DevOps, cloud engineering, or platform engineering work experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep
• Demonstrated experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Solid scripting and automation skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms like Splunk or Azure Monitor
• Understanding of DevOps practices, deployment automation, and release strategies
• High school diploma or GED required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Exposure to enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, MuleSoft, or Informatica
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and emerging AI platforms
• Knowledge of identity and access management concepts and Azure AD/Entra ID
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect authentication patterns
• Understanding of incident management and ITIL-based reliability practices
• Experience with secrets management tools like Azure Key Vault
