Position: Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer

Compensation: $150,000 – $170,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas, Hybrid

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Operational Technology (OT) Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a security professional who enjoys protecting complex environments and shaping secure solutions across both on-premises and cloud OT networks. In this role, you’ll help strengthen defenses, support critical projects, and contribute to a highly technical security program with broad visibility and impact.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and support security architecture for OT environments
• Assess current controls and recommend security improvements
• Identify vulnerabilities and help drive remediation efforts
• Support security incidents with timely analysis and response
• Guide projects with secure design and control requirements
• Review risk assessments and support customer audits
• Maintain and improve security systems, standards, and procedures
• Partner across IT teams to strengthen enterprise security posture

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 7+ years of technical security or security engineering experience
• Hands-on knowledge of GDPR, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, and NIST CSF
• Experience with IEC 62443 security standards
• Current CISSP, CASP+, or similar certification required
• Experience conducting or reviewing security risk assessments
• Ability to communicate security issues and recommendations clearly
• Willingness to travel 15%–20% as needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with security audits based on IEC 62443
• Background supporting cloud security architecture
• Familiarity with intrusion detection and prevention systems
• Experience with endpoint monitoring tools
• Knowledge of data loss prevention solutions
• Understanding of firewalls and network traffic monitoring
• Experience with SIEM platforms and security logging
• Exposure to cloud configuration and secure deployment practices
