Position: AI Engineer

Compensation: $80 – $85 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled AI Engineer to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced data professional who can bridge the gap between traditional data engineering and AI-ready data architecture. You’ll help shape how critical data is structured, governed, and prepared for AI use, while supporting a growing internal initiative with high visibility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across data strategy, engineering, and practical AI enablement in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Build and maintain data pipelines for AI-ready data delivery
• Structure data for downstream AI ingestion and use
• Partner on data governance and quality standards
• Translate business needs into usable data definitions
• Support Databricks-based data engineering efforts
• Help improve data usability beyond reporting and analytics
• Collaborate with internal and third-party AI resources

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 6-8+ years of strong experience in data engineering
• Hands-on experience with Databricks
• Experience preparing data for AI use cases
• Understanding of data governance and data quality
• Ability to define data from a business perspective
• Experience working beyond traditional analytics reporting
• Ability to work onsite in Houston three days weekly

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Direct experience in AI engineering
• Experience supporting AI data strategy
• Background owning internal data initiatives
• Experience working with distributed teams
• Familiarity with enterprise governance practices
