Position: Application Developer

Compensation: $45 – $75 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Full Remote

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Application Developer to join their team!

This long-term contract role supports a major modernization effort focused on cloud-native applications, improved workflows, and retirement of legacy systems. You will contribute to a multi-year technology initiative using modern development tools and Azure-based solutions. This is a strong opportunity for a developer who enjoys building reliable applications, improving business processes, and working closely with technical teams on meaningful modernization work.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and maintain application components and system enhancements.
• Build APIs, interfaces, and automation workflows.
• Write unit tests and support code quality reviews.
• Create documentation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with analysts, testers, and project managers.
• Translate technical requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Support legacy and modernized application environments.
• Review code and submit pull requests for team evaluation.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in application development.
• Experience with modern development frameworks and programming languages.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience with Agile delivery environments.
• Strong background in business process analysis and functional design.
• Experience developing APIs, interfaces, or automation workflows.
• Ability to write clear documentation and actionable user stories.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Azure-based application environments.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Managed Instances.
• Experience with Azure Function Apps.
• Knowledge of Angular or similar front-end frameworks.
• Exposure to Power BI reporting solutions.
• Experience working with legacy system integrations.
• Understanding of pension or retirement administration processes.
