Position: IT Auditor

Compensation: $55 – $60 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled IT Auditor to join their team!

This is a great opportunity to step into a newly created role supporting a growing public company as it strengthens compliance, audit readiness, and risk management practices. You’ll work alongside an established GRC contractor and collaborate across multiple internal teams to help ensure controls, documentation, and reporting are in top shape.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and NERC CIP compliance efforts
• Assist with internal, external, and regulatory audit preparation
• Maintain security policies, documentation, and compliance evidence
• Track audit findings and support remediation follow-up
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate impacts
• Help maintain risk registers and leadership reporting
• Conduct vendor risk assessments and support due diligence
• Collaborate across HR, legal, production, and technical teams

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience in IT audit or related compliance work
• Strong knowledge of SOX ITGC, COSO, and COBIT
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and ISO 27001
• Understanding of SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR, and CCPA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams
• Experience working with third-party audit firms

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Background supporting startup or high-growth environments
• Experience with heavy audit documentation requirements
• Exposure to both GRC and IT audit functions

• Contract role with hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote initially
• Schedule will transition to 3 days onsite, 2 days remote after training
• Downtown Houston office location
