Position: Electrical Designer

Compensation: $ 45 – 53 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Maitland, FL

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical Designer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced electrical design professional who enjoys turning complex concepts into clear, buildable deliverables. You’ll support a diverse portfolio of projects, contribute to detailed electrical design work, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on exciting, technical assignments.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop electrical drawings, layouts, and design documents.
• Produce schematics, power, lighting, and protection plans.
• Prepare design calculations and supporting project documentation.
• Update drawings with redlines, markups, and design revisions.
• Review reports, tests, and drawings for design accuracy.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve design issues.
• Maintain organized project files and drawing records.
• Support quality checks within budget and schedule targets.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field.
• 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Excel.
• Strong 2D and 3D design application skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical design principles and calculations.
• Ability to interpret codes, specifications, and design requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience supporting multi-discipline project teams.
• Familiarity with electrical grid, lighting, or facility design.
• Ability to learn new design software quickly.
• Experience with QA reviews and project coordination.

Other Information:

• Onsite position with no remote or hybrid option.
• Eligible for flex 9/80 schedule.
• Travel may be required at 10% to 15%.
