Position: Sr Mechanical Engineer

Compensation: $120,000 – $130,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Boulder, CO

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and test mechanical designs for new and existing products
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and design teams from concept through production
• Assist with new product introductions, vendor coordination, and manufacturing readiness
• Evaluate design and production challenges and implement effective solutions
• Conduct failure analysis and root-cause investigations to improve product performance
• Build 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and tolerance studies
• Incorporate DFM, DFA, reliability, and serviceability principles into designs
• Support product testing, quality efforts, and process improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and communicate project status to leadership

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing setting
• Proven experience moving products from initial concept through production
• Strong knowledge of DFM, DFA, and design for serviceability
• Experience developing mechanical components for electronic products
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software
• Experience using FEA or similar engineering analysis tools
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Valid driver’s license required

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Ansys or similar FEA software
• Experience with simulated drop testing or reliability analysis
• Experience with plastic and metal components
• Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience mentoring junior engineers
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing and product launches
