Position: Electrical Designer

Compensation: $28 – $31 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Columbus, OH

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical Designer to join their team!

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a wide range of telecom design projects within a collaborative, multi-discipline environment. In this role, you’ll support planning, design development, and construction documentation while helping shape detailed Revit models and engineering drawings. If you enjoy hands-on design work, technical problem-solving, and producing high-quality deliverables, this opportunity offers strong project variety and long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop telecom design deliverables using Revit and CAD tools.
• Prepare engineering drawings from sketches and technical direction.
• Support pathway, cabling, and equipment layout design efforts.
• Maintain project drawing revisions and related documentation.
• Assist with BIM coordination across project disciplines.
• Review and refine redline-marked drawings for ongoing projects.
• Support model setup at the start of assigned projects.
• Produce accurate work within budget and schedule targets.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in drafting technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Associate degree with 3 years of related experience.
• High school diploma with 4 years of progressive design experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Excel.
• Ability to create 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Basic understanding of telecommunications design and systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Exposure to telecommunications BIM coordination.
• Familiarity with engineering calculations.
• Experience working in multi-discipline project teams.
• Knowledge of design codes and specifications.
