Position: Senior Desktop Engineer

Compensation: $56 – $75 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Denver, Colorado

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Senior Desktop Engineer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical issues and supporting desktop environments that keep critical operations running smoothly. You’ll play a key role in endpoint management, system support, and infrastructure troubleshooting while helping improve reliability across a fast-paced technical environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Manage workstation and endpoint platforms across the environment
• Support desktop standards, imaging, and software deployment
• Administer patching, compliance, and endpoint security tools
• Troubleshoot escalated issues across servers and infrastructure
• Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server tasks
• Assist with VMware, networking, and related infrastructure services
• Document processes, procedures, and technical knowledge articles
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce repetitive work
• Support projects, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives
• Collaborate with technical teams and provide Tier 2 support

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 5+ years in desktop engineering, systems administration, or infrastructure support
• Enterprise Windows desktop administration experience
• Experience with MECM/SCCM, Intune, Workspace ONE, or similar tools
• Working knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server fundamentals
• Familiarity with VMware environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience supporting operational technology or industrial environments
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience
• Exposure to SolarWinds, SCOM, or similar monitoring tools
• Server administration experience
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall concepts
• Endpoint security and vulnerability remediation experience
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, VMware, or Cisco
