Position: Principal IT Project Manager
Compensation: $50-$70/hr, depending on experience
Location: Garner, North Carolina
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Principal IT Project Manager to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned project leader who enjoys driving complex, enterprise-wide initiatives from concept through completion. You’ll work closely with business and technical teams to shape outcomes, manage priorities, and keep critical projects moving forward.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead complex, cross-functional IT and business projects.
- Align project scope with business goals and outcomes.
- Define requirements, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
- Oversee vendor relationships, budgets, and delivery performance.
- Prepare status reports, dashboards, and project documentation.
- Communicate clearly with executive, business, and technical stakeholders.
- Support infrastructure, application, cloud, and integration initiatives.
- Identify issues early and drive timely resolutions.
- Mentor peers and support PMO best practices.
- Contribute to post-implementation reviews and process improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of IT or technical project management experience.
- PMP certification.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
- Proficiency with Smartsheet and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to document technical processes clearly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical groups.
- Experience managing complex technology projects and system integrations.
- Experience using AI in project management tools or processes.
