Position: Principal IT Project Manager

Compensation: $50-$70/hr, depending on experience

Location: Garner, North Carolina

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Principal IT Project Manager to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a seasoned project leader who enjoys driving complex, enterprise-wide initiatives from concept through completion. You’ll work closely with business and technical teams to shape outcomes, manage priorities, and keep critical projects moving forward. 

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead complex, cross-functional IT and business projects.
• Align project scope with business goals and outcomes.
• Define requirements, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
• Oversee vendor relationships, budgets, and delivery performance.
• Prepare status reports, dashboards, and project documentation.
• Communicate clearly with executive, business, and technical stakeholders.
• Support infrastructure, application, cloud, and integration initiatives.
• Identify issues early and drive timely resolutions.
• Mentor peers and support PMO best practices.
• Contribute to post-implementation reviews and process improvement.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of IT or technical project management experience.
• PMP certification.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide, cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet and Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to document technical processes clearly and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical groups.
• Experience managing complex technology projects and system integrations.
• Experience using AI in project management tools or processes.
