Position: Back End Developer

Compensation: $40 – $48/hour, depending on experience

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Back End Developer to join their team!

This is a strong long-term contract opportunity for a backend developer who enjoys working with complex systems and making meaningful improvements to the data layer. You’ll support both internal users and external customers while helping enhance performance, reliability, and maintainability in a stable, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Design and develop back-end database solutions
• Create and maintain complex stored procedures
• Improve query performance and database efficiency
• Support database testing using the tSQLt framework
• Review code for performance, logic, and maintainability
• Resolve production and pre-production database issues
• Track work in an online ticketing system
• Collaborate with team leadership and project stakeholders
• Share best practices and technical guidance with teammates

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with T-SQL development
• Solid Microsoft SQL Server experience
• Experience with database design and performance optimization
• Ability to write and modify complex stored procedures
• Experience tuning queries and troubleshooting performance issues
• Hands-on experience using tSQLt for database testing
• Proficiency with SQL Server Management Studio
• Experience using Git-based source control and pull requests
• Ability to learn and work within an established codebase

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of SQL Server Profiler or Extended Events
• SSIS experience
• Experience with SQL Server Data Tools
• Familiarity with SQL Prompt or Visual Studio
• Experience with Jira or similar agile tools

• Long-term contract with strong renewal potential

• Standard hours are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm
• May be hybrid; final confirmation pending
