Position: Network Automation Engineer

Compensation: $57 – $85 /hour, depending on experience

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Network Automation Engineer to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives at the intersection of networking and automation. You’ll help build, streamline, and support infrastructure through code, enabling faster delivery, better consistency, and more reliable operations across the environment.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop and maintain network automation solutions using code
• Support CI/CD integration for infrastructure updates
• Automate configuration management across environments
• Build and maintain APIs for service integration
• Work with monitoring and logging tools for reliability
• Support troubleshooting, testing, and implementation efforts
• Automate physical and virtual infrastructure changes
• Collaborate on change management and deployment activities

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience with network automation tools and practices
• Strong Python, REST API, YAML, XML, JSON, and YANG skills
• Hands-on experience with NETCONF, TCP/IP, VRF, SNMP, and SSH
• Background with Cisco networking and routing/switching
• Experience using Ansible, Terraform, GitLab, or similar tools
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with vSphere Automation API
• Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell
• Experience managing subnets, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with Itential or NetBrain
• Knowledge of TOGAF or Zachman frameworks
• Experience with SolarWinds Orion or DNAC
• Background in zero touch provisioning
• Familiarity with Nmap and network traffic analysis
• Exposure to infrastructure platform delivery as a product
