Position: Sales, Use & Property Tax Senior
Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Houston, Texas
Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sales, Use & Property Tax Senior to join their team!
This is a strong opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys solving complex compliance challenges, supporting audit activity, and making an impact across a multi-jurisdiction tax environment. You’ll step into a senior-level role with the chance to guide a capable team, strengthen processes, and contribute to both domestic and international tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Manage sales and use tax compliance across multiple U.S. jurisdictions
- Support tax audits and related documentation requests
- Prepare and assist with filings for select international locations
- Research taxability issues and resolve compliance questions
- Validate customer and vendor exemption certificates
- Oversee state permit tracking and maintenance
- Provide guidance and support to two direct reports
- Help strengthen team processes and tax operations
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong experience in sales and use tax compliance
- Experience supporting tax audits and exemption certificate review
- Hands-on knowledge of multi-state tax research and filing
- Experience using Avalara
- Comfort preparing journal entries
- Accounting degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
- Ability to mentor and support team members
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Property tax experience
- CMA certification
- International tax filing exposure
- Experience with permits and registrations
- Background in complex taxability research

- This role has two direct reports and a collaborative team structure
- Interview process includes an initial interview followed by a team interview. Both will be onsite
