Position: Sales, Use & Property Tax Senior

Compensation: $90,000 – $100,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Sales, Use & Property Tax Senior to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys solving complex compliance challenges, supporting audit activity, and making an impact across a multi-jurisdiction tax environment. You’ll step into a senior-level role with the chance to guide a capable team, strengthen processes, and contribute to both domestic and international tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Manage sales and use tax compliance across multiple U.S. jurisdictions
• Support tax audits and related documentation requests
• Prepare and assist with filings for select international locations
• Research taxability issues and resolve compliance questions
• Validate customer and vendor exemption certificates
• Oversee state permit tracking and maintenance
• Provide guidance and support to two direct reports
• Help strengthen team processes and tax operations

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong experience in sales and use tax compliance
• Experience supporting tax audits and exemption certificate review
• Hands-on knowledge of multi-state tax research and filing
• Experience using Avalara
• Comfort preparing journal entries
• Accounting degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
• Ability to mentor and support team members

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Property tax experience
• CMA certification
• International tax filing exposure
• Experience with permits and registrations
• Background in complex taxability research

• This role has two direct reports and a collaborative team structure
• Interview process includes an initial interview followed by a team interview. Both will be onsite
