Position: Solutions Architect

Compensation: $165,000 – $185,000 annually, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Solutions Architect to join their team!

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced architect to play a key role in a large-scale transformation initiative. You’ll help shape solution design across enterprise applications, integrations, cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity while supporting modernization efforts that impact the broader organization. If you enjoy working closely with technical teams and business leaders to solve complex problems, this role offers a highly visible seat at the table.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Lead solution architecture for enterprise modernization initiatives
• Translate business requirements into end-to-end technical designs
• Define system boundaries, interfaces, dependencies, and transition states
• Design integrations across APIs, middleware, databases, and SaaS tools
• Improve reliability through validation, monitoring, logging, and auditability
• Partner with analytics teams on data ownership and data flow decisions
• Support cloud, on-premises, identity, and security design discussions
• Document architecture decisions, risks, and current-to-future state diagrams
• Provide technical guidance through implementation, testing, and deployment
• Present architecture recommendations to business and technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in architecture or systems roles
• 3 to 4 years of experience as a Solutions Architect
• Experience designing enterprise applications and system integrations
• Background with APIs, middleware, databases, and cloud services
• Ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Working knowledge of secure integration and access management concepts

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or energy environments
• Familiarity with legacy modernization and coexistence planning
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and observability
• Experience with COTS or SaaS product evaluations
• Exposure to Oracle Financials, Oracle EBS, or PL/SQL
• Experience with Java, React, Python, or Azure Kubernetes Service
• Knowledge of WebLogic or other legacy application platforms
