Position: Landman II

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Landman II to join their team!

We’re seeking an experienced Landman to join our in-house team and support ongoing operations across Texas assets.This role will be responsible for negotiating land agreements, resolving title issues, and supporting drilling and development efforts through cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of Texas land practices, an eye for detail, and a solution-oriented mindset to help drive projects forward efficiently and compliantly.

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and draft a variety of land-related agreements including leases, surface use agreements, easements (ROWs, water, subsurface), and more.
  • Track and manage key contract obligations, payments, and expiration dates with thorough lease and agreement analysis.
  • Confirm mineral ownership, form drilling units, and negotiate Purchase and Sale Agreements (PSAs) when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (GIS, regulatory, drilling, completions, land admin, accounting, etc.) to support drilling schedules and asset maintenance.
  • Manage interests in non-operated wells, including ownership verification and proposal review.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of in-house land experience, including contracts and negotiations, with a strong focus on Texas assets.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of information accurately.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of Texas land laws, regulatory frameworks, and industry practices
  • Must be available to work on-site, five days a week.
