Compensation: $90,000-$98,000

Location: Boulder, CO

Position: Cost Accountant

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Cost Accountant to join their team!

This is a stellar opportunity for someone with a strong accounting foundation and a passion for manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical role in improving cost visibility and financial performance across the organization. 

Responsibilities:

• Process and analyze manufacturing cost transactions, including cost of goods sold and inventory controls

• Record and report on period cost entries, manufacturing variances, and related journal entries

• Analyze and recommend adjustments for excess/slow-moving inventory, obsolescence, and warranty reserves

• Support inventory controls by auditing the cycle count process and reviewing inventory balances

• Assist in establishing and reviewing standard costs, posting direct labor hours, and monitoring cost structures

• Perform month-end close activities, including account analysis, reconciliations, and financial reporting

• Contribute to annual audits and provide supporting documentation as needed

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 3+ years of accounting experience, including at least 1 year in a cost accounting role within a manufacturing environment

• Strong understanding of GAAP and standard cost structures

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience using integrated accounting systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience supporting audits (internal or external)

• Exposure to ERP or MRP systems

• Familiarity with process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing setting
