Position: Distribution Designer

Compensation: $25 – $30 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Distribution Designer to join their team!

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join a dynamic team as a Distribution Designer where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping electric distribution projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work onsite, collaborate with industry experts, and contribute to innovative projects. The role is open due to the company’s expansion and growing project demands.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Develop detailed design drawings for electric distribution projects
• Perform engineering calculations like voltage drop and transformer sizing
• Ensure designs adhere to client standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with project teams to meet objectives and deadlines
• Prepare and submit permit applications
• Process site visit information for design activities
• Provide technical support during construction phase
• Manage multiple projects from start to completion

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or related field
• Minimum three years of experience in electric utility distribution design
• Proficiency in CAD, GIS software, and other design tools
• Strong knowledge of electric distribution infrastructure
• Familiarity with NESC and industry standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience with permit application processes
• Technical support during construction phase
• Knowledge of structural analysis of poles and conductor sizing
