Position: Revenue Accountant I

Compensation: $25 – $30 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Houston, Texas

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Revenue Accountant I to join their team!

This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional looking to build hands-on experience in oil and gas revenue accounting. You’ll join an established team and support critical accounting functions, including accruals, reconciliations, regulatory reporting, and variance analysis. This role offers exposure to a variety of revenue processes, flexible scheduling options, and the chance to contribute ideas that help improve efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare routine revenue accounting entries and support month-end activities
• Create basic to moderately complex revenue accruals
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare regulatory reports and related payments
• Analyze revenue and production variances
• Work with oil and gas volumes and allocations
• Support forecasting and reporting activities as needed
• Identify process improvements to increase team efficiency

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
• 0–2 years of oil and gas revenue accounting experience
• 4–6 years of equivalent experience accepted without a degree
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial work
• Comfortable learning new systems and working with direction
• Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Oil and gas revenue accounting background
• Experience with revenue accruals and reconciliations
• Exposure to regulatory reporting and payments
• Experience with production volumes or allocations
• Revenue forecasting experience
• Experience with Excalibur or similar accounting software
