Position: Medical Coder
 

Compensation: $24+/hour (depending on experience)
 

Location: Fully Remote

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Medical Coder to join their team!

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-impact coding role supporting a busy specialty care environment. You’ll play a key part in ensuring documentation is coded accurately, claims move cleanly, and reimbursement stays on track. If you enjoy detail-oriented work, collaborating with clinical teams, and contributing to strong billing integrity, this role offers a great chance to make an immediate difference.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Review patient records for accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Code radiology, neurology, office visits, and lab services
• Verify documentation completeness before assigning codes
• Sequence codes to support compliant reimbursement
• Support insurance notifications, pre-authorizations, and pre-certifications
• Clarify documentation questions with clinical staff
• Conduct chart audits and support coding reviews
• Resolve assigned EMR tasks in a timely manner
• Help improve coding accuracy and documentation quality

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
• At least two years of experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
• Experience with medical billing and payer processes
• Proficiency with coding software and electronic health records
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience coding radiology or neurology services
• Knowledge of Medicare requirements
• Familiarity with APC or DRG coding
• Experience with insurance troubleshooting
• Prior chart audit or compliance support experience
• Background training providers on documentation improvements

Other Information:

• Remote opportunity
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday
• Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday
• Friday schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Role supports a fast-paced clinical environment
• Travel may be required
