Position: Electrical Designer

Compensation: $25 – 28 /hour, depending on experience

Location: Kansas City, Missouri

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Electrical Designer to join their team!

This is a great opportunity to step into a fast-moving project environment where your design work will directly support important engineering efforts. You’ll collaborate with engineers, project managers, and senior designers while building hands-on experience across the full design process.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare design drawings and models from sketches and markups
• Develop plan, schematic, and layout drawings using CAD software
• Apply drafting standards, codes, and project specifications
• Support calculations, analysis, and technical drawing reviews
• Revise drawings based on redlines and updated project direction
• Track drawing revisions, plot files, and project documentation
• Coordinate with engineers and designers to resolve issues
• Complete work within budget and schedule expectations

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 1–2 years of design, drafting, detailing, or related technical experience
• Working knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Proficiency with Excel
• Ability to read sketches, markups, and technical documents
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Collaborative mindset in a multi-discipline environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• 4-year degree in a technical field such as engineering, physics, or drafting technology
• Experience in detailing or a similar technical discipline
• Background with both 2D and 3D design tools
• Experience supporting transmission or related design work
